What you need to bring
We provide all your freshly-laundered linen, bath towels and beach towels. The beds have cosy duvets and Tasmanian-made Waverley woollen blankets, as well as the electric kind.

The kitchen is well-equipped and you'll find tea and coffee-making facilities but no other provisions. We are very excited about The Point, our brand-new Dennes Point community centre, which has a cafe/bistro, shop and art gallery – so if you don’t want to bring your own supplies, you can take the 1.5 km waterside stroll along to The Point for lunch or dinner, or to pick up other supplies.

As you explore Bruny it's very easy and good fun to gather some of the island's wonderful local produce to enjoy during your stay – or to take home with you.

  • In Great Bay, don't miss Joe and Nicole's sensational Get Shucked oysters . (Every day from late October to the end of May – and available all year round at the Adventure Bay shop)

  • Also in Great Bay, taste Nick's artisan cheeses and wood-fired bread at the Bruny Island Cheese Co

  • On the way to Adventure Bay, indulge in the sweet delights of Island Fudge – and further on, try the summer fruits at the Bruny Berry Farm

  • At Lunawanna, Bernice and Richard at Bruny Island Premium Wines make a luscious pinot noir

  • Call in to the Lunawanna Link cafe for Jenny’s award-winning scallop, lamb and rabbit & leek pies

  • In season, collect some Black Devil cherries at the Roberts Point ferry terminal
The Bruny Island Hotel at Alonnah serves hearty pub-style lunches and dinners; the Hothouse Cafe on the way to Adventure Bay is a great spot for lunch with a view; and the Lunawanna Link has a small restaurant.
