Kettering, home port of the car ferry Mirambeena, is a 30 minute drive south of Hobart. It's best to leave the city at least 45 minutes before the ferry you aim to catch. (In very busy times, the ferries run more frequently than the timetable.) Buy your ticket as you drive on - a normal car costs $28 return ($33 on public holidays). From the Roberts Point terminal on Bruny, drive nine kilometres to the Dennes Point turn-off. From here, the 10 kilometre gravel road to Dennes is narrow and winding in parts - take care, drive slowly - and when you get to the spectacular views over Storm Bay, please look for a safe place to stop and enjoy them!
In Dennes Point, continue past the jetty on Nebraska Road for 1.5 kilometres then look for the Cox Road sign on the left. The Bruny Island Weekender is on the corner.
You're there!
